PolySteel – Company Overview

Polysteel is a UK based manufacturer of precision made, high strength ICF forms that are suitable for use in all types of construction projects. With an in-house Structural Design Team, Polysteel is able to offer customers bespoke structural solutions and advise clients from Concept to Completion of their project.

Polysteel is the only UK ICF Supplier to use high strength steel wire for the rigid ICF ties that hold the EPS leaves together. This avoids site assembly of the forms and when combined with tongue and groove joints ensures a stable build. The Polysteel system incorporates steel clips which hold adjacent forms together to eliminate the need for horizontal rebar and reduce the risk of blow out during concreting.

PolySteel – Product Details

SIMPLE

Polyblocks are simple to use Insulated Concrete Forms that do not need steel reinforcing bars when used in the construction of residential property.

STURDY

PolyBlocks uniquely uses steel ties to create walls that are virtually indestructible and less likely to leak concrete during filling.

METRIC

The 1200 x 600 mm modular size of PolyBlocks makes setting out in accordance with metric drawings much easier – especially floor levels and cill heights etc.

ICF Made Simple

Polybloks are easy to use because they incorporate:

• Metric dimensions of 1200mm x 600mm that makes setting out very easy – especially when working out floor levels.
• Precision made vertical/horizontal tongue and groove joints that facilitate easy and accurate installation of every ICF form.
• 3mm high tensile wire ties (or webs) spaced 150mm apart and welded to 3mm thick steel anchor plates that allow concreting without worrying about “blowouts” and strong fixing points for bracing.
• Steel clips that fix every form to the adjacent form.
• Polybloks do not need any reinforcement for the construction of walls to residential units.
• Blocks are manufactured in Wales which allows Polysteel to supply sites within 2-3 days. No minimum quantities are required.

With decades of experience, we provide Design Services that are tailored to meet each client’s requirements at the Concept and Construction stages of the project.

Accreditation

The British Board of Agrément (BBA) provides services that test and certify products manufactured for the building industry. They carry out auditing, inspection, testing and certification of the products, services and systems that underpin the entire supply chain. This includes the production quality control of Polybloks that are made by Moulded Foams in their factory in Newport in South Wales.

The National House Building Council (NHBC) and the Local Authorities Building Council (LABC) will only provide their guarantees if all the components in a new dwelling have a BBA or equivalent certificate. The Council of Mortgage Lenders also accept that Polysteel ICF forms are an acceptable form of construction for new homes.
